Are you a graduate considering a career in teaching? Or are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience before starting your PGCE or teacher training?
At PK Education, we are recruiting confident, adaptable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work within Secondary Schools across Leeds and Wakefield from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers or individuals with transferable experience who are looking to build classroom confidence and gain hands-on school experience.
The role of a Cover Supervisor includes:
- Delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task
- Supporting pupils within a classroom setting
- Working across a variety of subjects and year groups
- Creating a positive and professional learning environment
What we are looking for:
- Graduates or aspiring teachers
- Strong communication and confidence working with young people
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Positive, proactive and adaptable individuals
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
This role is ideal for:
- Graduates looking to gain classroom experience
