One of our brilliant primary schools in central Leeds are looking for a permanent caretaker to join their operations team commencing after Easter, up until July 2024.

We are looking for a passionate, experienced and proactive caretaker to fill a temporary opportunity at an amazing school in the heart of Leeds. Ofsted rates this school as ‘good’ and has described it as a place where ‘staff morale is high and pupils get along well together’. This role commences after Easter. This is the perfect opportunity if you are looking for a hands-on role working within a vibrant, school setting.  

To be considered for the Caretaker role you must:

  • Sound knowledge of health, safety and hygiene
  • Proven ability to undertake minor repairs and improvements
  • Customer service experience
  • Takes pride in work, paying particular attention to detail
  • Experience of working as part of a team and excellent communication skill
  • Ability to work under own initiative and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, contractors and suppliers
  • Possess general trades and maintenance skills to undertake general maintenance, repairs and improvements
  • Able to respond to emergency call outs if required

Caretaker Salary and Benefits:

  • Term-time only, plus 5 weeks during the school holidays.
  • Daily Rate: Between £100 – £125 per Day
  • Working hours 37.5 hours per week, 10:15am – 6:15pm Monday – Friday.
