TA Required: Upcoming vacancy for a SEN TA, full time (part time will be considered) at a specialist Autism unit in Mid Derbyshire.
School details: The school is a specialist Autism unit set in a stunning location in the mid Derbyshire region. The school is a provider of specialist education as well as therapy and care for children and young people aged 5 – 19 years, with speech, language and communication needs and/or Aspergers Syndrome.
Job Role: The role will require someone to assist with 2:1 support with a male pupil. The pupil requires academic support as well as behavioural support.
Candidate Requirements: To be considered for a role with this school candidates must have experience of providing support to pupils on the autistic spectrum or at the very least within similar SEN organisations. Candidates need to be willing to be very active and have an interest in sports as this will be important to help build rapport with the pupil and will also be necessary when performing activities with the pupil. It is preferable that candidates have a minimum of a level 3 TA qualification but it is not mandatory. The ability to drive is a bonus, as is access to a car.
