MFL Teacher

A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Doncaster, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher to join our team on a full time, long-term supply basis from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified MFL teacher to inspire a love of languages in a supportive school environment that values creativity, high standards, and student achievement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in French and Spanish across KS3 and KS4, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
• Monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting on the progress, development and attainment of students in line with school policy.
• Creating a positive learning environment that promotes student progress and celebrates achievement.
• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND and EAL requirements.
• Maintaining excellent classroom management and upholding school behaviour policies.
• Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and other staff members regarding student progress and well-being.
• Supporting school-wide events and initiatives related to the MFL department and whole-school curriculum.
• Fostering a passion for languages, culture, and global awareness among students.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching MFL in UK secondary schools.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching French and Spanish.
• Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new school environments and build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
