About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Supply Teacher of Geography to join a  vibrant Humanities department from September on a long-term basis in Doncaster.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school, where both staff and students are committed to achieving excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work to meet the curriculum and individual student needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to think critically about geographical issues.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and school life, including trips and extracurricular activities where possible.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and uphold the school’s behaviour policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the natural and human world.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
