What’s the gig?

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step in when teachers are away and make sure learning still happens. — you’ll be delivering set work, keeping students on track, and maintaining classroom control.

Think of it as classroom captain… with bonus points if you can win over the tough crowd with your charm and authority.

Your Responsibilities:

• Stepping into classrooms across various subjects (no expert knowledge needed!)
• Delivering pre-set work to students and making sure they stay on task
• Managing classroom behaviour like a pro
• Providing feedback to teachers on how the day went
• Being a positive role model

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with secondary-aged students (schools, tutoring, youth work – it all counts!)
• Is confident, reliable, and cool under pressure
• Can manage behaviour with both fairness and firmness
• Has strong communication skills (and a sense of humour wouldn’t hurt!)
• Is available from September for a long-term supply role
• Has (or is happy to get) a valid enhanced DBS check 

Bonus if you have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification
• Previous school-based experience
• Aspirations of becoming a teacher – this is the perfect stepping stone!
