ECT Primary Teacher – Leeds & Wakefield
Are you an ECT Primary Teacher looking to gain valuable, varied experience across local schools while maintaining a healthy work–life balance?
We are working with a wide range of primary schools across Leeds and Wakefield and are seeking passionate, motivated ECT Primary Teachers to provide day-to-day and long-term supply cover across KS1 and KS2.
Supply teaching is an excellent opportunity for ECTs to build confidence, broaden experience, and explore different school settings before committing to a permanent role — all while being fully supported every step of the way.
The Role
As an ECT Primary Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Adapt your teaching style to suit different year groups and school environments
- Teach your specialist year group where possible, with opportunities to work across others
- Follow school policies and maintain high standards of teaching and behaviour management
Roles range from daily supply to short, medium, and long-term placements, depending on your preferences and availability.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you must have:
- PGCE or equivalent with QTS
- Experience teaching in UK primary schools (ideally across KS1 & KS2)
- Strong curriculum knowledge and flexibility across subjects
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
A full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
