SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Leeds)
Temporary – term time only
We are currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in the Leeds area, supporting pupils with low developmental attainment and additional learning needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and adaptable individual who is committed to helping children thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Role:
You will be working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support pupils who may require additional help with:
- Early learning and developmental milestones
- Phonics and literacy intervention
- Language development and communication
- Emotional and behavioural support
- Students with SEND and, in some cases, EAL pupils who are new to the UK and facing language barriers
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable)
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Knowledge of Phonics and Read Write Inc
- Ability to adapt learning approaches to individual needs
- Confident supporting pupils with communication and language challenges
- Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
