Job Description

PK Education is currently looking for a dedicated and qualified SEND Teacher to work within SEND/SEMH schools across Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting students with additional needs and creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with SEND/SEMH needs.

  • Support learners with a range of additional needs in specialist or adapted classroom settings.

  • Implement strong behaviour management strategies.

  • Work collaboratively with support staff and senior leadership teams.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory.

  • Previous experience working with SEND students (specialist or mainstream settings).

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.

  • Strong behaviour management skills.

  • Ability to adapt across different classroom environments.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Professional references covering the last 2 years (from professional email addresses).
