About the Role
PK Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work within specialist SEND schools across Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
You will be working closely with pupils with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, PMLD and challenging behaviour. The role may involve providing 1:1 support, assisting in small group settings, and helping to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with SEND students (Autism, ADHD, PMLD, challenging behaviour)

Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis

A genuine passion for working with children and young people

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to adapt quickly within different classroom environments

Good behaviour management skills

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Two professional references
