Tutor – GCSE (Maths, English, Science & Geography)

PK Education are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tutor to support a Year 11 learner based in the S33 area. This is a home tuition role for a student who is new to the area and currently not on a school roll, requiring focused support in preparation for upcoming GCSE exams.
About the Role
You will be delivering tailored 1:1 tuition in Maths, English, Science, and Geography, supporting the learner in building confidence, closing knowledge gaps, and preparing effectively for their GCSEs. The role will involve planning and delivering structured sessions that are adapted to the student’s individual needs, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated throughout.

Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering engaging, personalised tuition sessions across Maths, English, Science, and Geography. Assessing the learner’s current ability and identifying areas for development. Supporting exam preparation, revision techniques, and subject knowledge. Building a positive and supportive relationship to help boost confidence and engagement. Monitoring progress and adapting sessions to meet the learner’s needs.
What We’re Looking For
An experienced tutor or qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge across the core GCSE subjects. Experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly KS4. The ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning needs. Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive approach. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
