Salary: £100–£110 per day (dependent on experience)

PK Education are working with a secondary school in Sheffield who are urgently seeking an experienced Biology Technician to support their Science department.

This is a full-time, hands-on role supporting the delivery of practical Biology lessons. The position is to cover a staff vacancy and will continue on an ongoing basis until a permanent member of staff is appointed.

The school are looking for someone who can step in quickly and confidently, with prior experience supporting practical work within a secondary school setting.

The Role

Preparing and setting up equipment for Biology practicals
Ensuring all materials are ready ahead of lessons
Supporting teaching staff with practical delivery where required
Maintaining equipment, stock, and lab organisation
Following all health and safety procedures within the lab

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working as a Science/Biology Technician in a secondary school
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
A proactive approach and willingness to support the department
Must be compliant and cleared to work in UK schools
