We are looking for experienced ASD & SLD support staff to join special schools in the Barnsley area.

Requirements:

• Valid experience supporting pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in a school or specialist setting
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies, communication techniques, and personal care needs specific to ASD and SLD pupils
• Ability to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and support EHCP targets effectively
• Experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and families
• Child and Adult Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (mandatory)
• Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent are preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and staff confidently
• Available full time, term-time only
