Are you looking for an extremely rewarding role within Primary Education?

This fantastic behaviour mentor vacancy is the perfect opportunity for anyone who is looking to work 1:1 with pupils and has experience working with challenging behaviour or additional needs.  We are looking for an exceptional behaviour mentor to work at a supportive primary school near Headingley, Leeds.

Behaviour Mentor responsibilities:

You will be required to provide valuable 1-1 support for two children in Year 4 with additional needs and occasional, challenging behaviour. You will be expected to support the teaching and learning of this pupil academically and most importantly help manage their social and behavioural difficulties. You must follow the school’s policies and procedures. This position is to commence ASAP and will be a long-term position until the end of the academic year and potentially beyond. The pupil has a diagnosis of autism and ADHD and requires support accessing the mainstream curriculum and socialising with peers.

To be considered for the Behaviour Mentor role you should have:

  • A resilient, confident and supportive attitude.
  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with staff, students and parents.
  • Strong and effective behaviour management.  
  • Experience of working in schools and/or experience working alongside children with challenging behaviour or additional needs i.e. SEND.

Behaviour Mentor Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive rates of pay between £90 – £95 per day.
