About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to students in the absence of the regular class teacher. Your main role will be to manage the classroom, ensure students stay on task, and support their learning where necessary.

This is an excellent opportunity for:

• Graduates considering a career in teaching

• Experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants

• Individuals with experience working with young people (e.g., youth work, coaching, mentoring)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising classes across the secondary curriculum

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Supporting students to ensure they remain engaged in lessons

• Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and conduct

Requirements:

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Ability to manage behaviour in a classroom setting

• A flexible and proactive attitude

• A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
