Cover Supervisor

We’re expanding our supply team and are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join us on a day-to-day, short-term, or long-term basis from September.

Whether you’re an experienced educator, recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or a skilled professional with classroom experience, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You’ll be delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing the classroom environment, and ensuring pupils remain on task in a supportive and safe setting.

Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers Deliver lessons as set by the classroom teacher or department Maintain a calm and focused classroom atmosphere Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and engagement Support students with tasks and respond to any questions they may have

What We’re Looking For:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills Confidence in managing groups of young people A calm, proactive, and flexible approach Ability to follow instructions and use initiative when needed Previous experience in a school or working with young people is desirable A genuine interest in education and student development

Requirements:

• A degree or relevant qualification is preferred but not essential
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
• Availability from September 2025
