Cover Supervisor

We’re expanding our supply team and are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join us on a day-to-day, short-term, or long-term basis from September.

Whether you’re an experienced educator, recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or a skilled professional with classroom experience, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You’ll be delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing the classroom environment, and ensuring pupils remain on task in a supportive and safe setting.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
• Deliver lessons as set by the classroom teacher or department
• Maintain a calm and focused classroom atmosphere
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and engagement
• Support students with tasks and respond to any questions they may have

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in managing groups of young people
• A calm, proactive, and flexible approach
• Ability to follow instructions and use initiative when needed
• Previous experience in a school or working with young people is desirable
• A genuine interest in education and student development

 Requirements:

• A degree or relevant qualification is preferred but not essential
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
• Availability from September 2025
