Do you have experience working within early years and are ready for your next challenge at an incredible, welcoming school?

This exciting early years practitioner vacancy is the perfect opportunity if you are looking for great flexibility and an enjoyable work life balance. We are looking for passionate and exceptional individuals to work at an incredible primary school in their EYFS classroom based in South Leeds, near Beeston.

This rewarding role is to start from April 2024 and will be long-term, full-time (variable morning hours considered). There will be an opportunity to take up a direct, permanent contract with the school if the role suits you!

Early Years Practitioner responsibilities and duties:

  • You will be expected to work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who may require additional academic, SEND and behavioural support.
  • You will be expected to support the teaching and learning by working under the class teacher’s guidance to deliver material and interventions.
  • You will be expected to support and follow the school’s policies and procedures.
  • You will be required to take a hands-on approach, helping with personal care routines where required.

Early Years Practitioner Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification, teaching assistant or early years.
  • Experience supporting SEND with children or adults.
  • Experienced supporting challenging and complex needs is highly advantageous.
  • Willingness and confidence to help assist with personal care routines.
  • A genuine passion for education and learning.
  • Commitment, resilience and patience.

Additional Requirements

Reference details will be requested prior to registration.

A current and valid UK Driving License would be advantageous.

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
