About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our supportive and thriving secondary school in Doncaster on a temporary full-time basis.
The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and effective English lessons that inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to support student learning and progress
- Assess, track, and report on student progress regularly
- Create a positive classroom environment with clear expectations and effective behaviour management
- Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental planning and meetings
- Support students in achieving their academic potential and personal development goals
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
