We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Geography Supply Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and informative geography lessons to secondary school students, ensuring continuity of learning during staff absences.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Follow the school’s curriculum and lesson plans where provided
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Mark work and provide feedback where required Liaise with permanent teaching staff and report on student progress
Ensure safeguarding and welfare of all pupils in your care
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Geography
Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Adaptability and a proactive approach to cover teaching Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
Desirable: Experience teaching up to A-Level Knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum developments in Geography
