We are working with an alternative provision in Leeds seeking a Higher Level 4 Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a varied and rewarding role for individuals passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver curricular for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners on a primary model content. 
• Lead small group sessions tailored to students’ needs.
• Manage classroom resources effectively.
• Take children on educational trips and visits.
• Follow the school’s positive regard and behaviour policies.
• Support children during crises or heightened behaviours, maintaining safety and applying strong behaviour management strategies.
• Celebrate student success and achievements.
• Participate in therapeutic training sessions and reflective practices.

Candidate Requirements:

• Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Commitment to teaching learners with differentiated needs.
• Valid and current DBS on the subscription service.
• Passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives.
