Job Title: Long-Term History Teacher

Salary: £140 – £223 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

PK Education are working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Rotherham to recruit a dedicated and knowledgeable History Teacher for a long-term position. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking team.

The Role:

• Full-time History teaching position starting ASAP

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Ensuring students are engaged, challenged, and making progress

• Creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment

• Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of students

• Attending departmental meetings and contributing to the curriculum planning process

Requirements:

• Recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

• A degree in History or a related subject

• Recent experience teaching History in a UK secondary school

• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and GCSE exam specifications

• Excellent behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
