History Teacher Required ! 

Are you a passionate History Teacher able to foster a love of learning among young people in a classroom?

PK Education are recruiting a Secondary School History Teacher for a large sized secondary school located in the Wolverhampton area. This role requires an enthusiastic teacher with a positive attitude to teach GCSE and A- level classes on a full-time basis (5 days per week). This role will require you to also teach a few policts lessons alongside history. The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work with a fantastic team in a welcoming environment and have the opportunity to progress in their career.

This is a comprehensive 11-18 school and sixth form that caters to children from differemnt backgrounds and abilities. The school require candidates to have extensive curriculum knowledge and experience in a similar role. The school has a strong leadership team in place supporting the improvement of attainment levels.

History Teacher Salary and Benefits:

The role of a History Teacher is diverse and challenging but also very rewarding. As a History Teacher in a secondary school, you will be managing student behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures, as well as supporting students in undertaking learning activities across the curriculum.

This History Teacher role is suitable For: NQT’s, training teachers, retired teachers/TA’s, those unable to work full time, people needing flexible working hours, those wanting to network/gain exposure with new schools.

 

History Teacher responsibilities and duties:

This Teaching position will teach a variable timetable of all year groups across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in History. You will be required to do all planning, marking and preparation for the classes you are responsible for as well as attending school meetings and parent’s evening.

 

To be considered for the History Teacher role you should have:

  • Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
  • Strong subject knowledge of your specialism and the flexibility and willingness to cover every other subject on the curriculum.
