Inclusion Support Worker

Job Description:

Have you got experience working as an Inclusion Support Worker with vulnerable Looked After Children Can you identify trigger points of behaviour and effectively use positive nurturing methods

PK Education are working closely with a SEMH setting situated in the South East of Huddersfield, who are looking for experienced Inclusion Support Workers for an ongoing long-term role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity of developing their career. For the right candidate there is a possibility of becoming permanent.

 For this role you will:

  • Have experience as an Inclusion Support Worker supporting vulnerable pupils.

  • Must have experience of de-escalating situations correctly and professionally.

  • Understand a pupil’s trigger point, to ensure you use a positive nurturing approach.

  • Provide a positive calm and nurturing environment.

  • Driving licence is an advantage, but not essential.  

  • Flexibility on travelling to the pupils residential setting.

  • Ability of working one to one and can demonstrate progression from previous experiences.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Looked After Children.

  • Be an inspirational role model for the pupil you are supporting.

  • Continuously liaising with the teacher on developments or issues that may arise.

  • Must have a genuine passion on positive encouragement for pupils that are disengaged in their learning.
