Multilingual Teaching Assistant EAL Support

PK Education are currently working with a number of inclusive primary schools across Leeds who are seeking Multilingual Teaching Assistants to support pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who speak more than one language and are passionate about helping children settle, communicate and thrive within the classroom.
Many schools across Leeds have a high number of EAL learners, and they are looking for supportive individuals who can help pupils build confidence in their learning while supporting communication with families where required.
Languages in high demand include:
• Arabic
• Urdu
• Pashto
• Dari
• Romanian
• Polish
• Kurdish
• Any additional languages are welcomed
Your role may include:
• Supporting pupils with English language development
• Providing classroom learning support alongside the teacher
• Helping pupils understand instructions and engage in lessons
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Acting as a positive role model within the school environment
Ideal candidates may have experience as:
• Teaching Assistant
• Learning Support Assistant
• Support Worker or Youth Worker
• Community or ESOL Support Worker
• Nursery Practitioner
• Graduates looking to begin a career in education
Experience working with children or young people is desirable, however schools are also open to candidates with transferable skills from care, community or support roles.
