Qualified Teacher required – Alternative primary provision  

Full time- long term ongoing  

Teaching mixture of Year 4-Year 6 – class size 4 pupils.  

We are recruiting for a qualified Teacher with experience teaching pupils with behaviour difficulties, social, emotional and mental health dysregulation to start after ASAP. The small alternative provision is dedicated to vulnerable children that present with emotional dysregulation, social difficulties, ADHD and mild Autism located in the West Leeds area.  Having experience with behaviour, strong classroom management with the ability to adapt and engage pupils is highly desirable for this role. Job description & Job Spec:

  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status with UK Teaching Experience  
  • BA hons degree in Education or equivalent.
  • Will consider ETC’s but must have strong knowledge and experience teaching SEN students.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with children that present with: social, emotional and mental health difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, attachment disorder, attention hyperactive deficit disorder and challenging behaviour.
  • Solid behaviour management skills.
  • Teaching across curriculum on a primary model content.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching & learning while also demonstrating learner’s progression.
  • Team Teach training is important, if you do not have this, we will provide training.  
  • Understand and adopt a nurturing approach and demonstrate accountability through the schools ethos.
  • Enhanced DBS on the subscription service.
