Job Description

PK Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Science Teacher to work full time within a specialist SEMH provision in Newcastle.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in KS3 and KS4 who require additional behavioural and emotional support within a structured learning environment.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Support pupils within a SEMH setting

  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum expectations

  • Implement strong behaviour management strategies

  • Build positive, professional relationships with students and staff

  • Create a safe, inclusive and structured classroom environment

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Experience working within SEN and/or SEMH settings

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Ability to commit to full-time work (5 days per week)

  • Resilient, patient and adaptable teaching approach
