Science Teacher – Rotherham

PK Education are working in partnership with a secondary school in Rotherham who are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Science Teacher to join their supportive Science department. This position is ideal for an experienced teacher or a passionate ECT looking to develop their career in a school that promotes high standards, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and well-planned Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Drive strong student progress through enthusiastic teaching and a broad curriculum
• Use assessment strategies effectively to check understanding and inform lesson planning
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every student can succeed
• Contribute positively to the wider department and school community where required

Who We’re Looking For

• A qualified Science Teacher with QTS, or an ECT nearing completion of training
• Confident teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (all specialisms welcome)
• Passionate about inspiring young people and delivering engaging lessons
• Reflective, proactive, and committed to ongoing professional development
• Able to build positive relationships and motivate learners of all abilities

Requirements

• QTS (or working towards QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge across Science
• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
