SEMH Teacher (Long-Term Placement)
Start Date: September (Trial period this half term)
Pay: Depending on experience, but between £185 – £230 per day!
We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Teacher with experience of working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health for a long-term placement beginning in September. There will be an opportunity to undertake a trial period during the current half term.
Key Requirements:
- Proven, substantial experience within a school setting
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years at the same school, demonstrating stability and commitment
- Strong understanding of the Primary and Secondary National Curriculum as the students will be aged 7-16
- Confident in managing complex and challenging behaviour
- Ability to create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Additional Criteria:
- Available full-time
- Available on a long-term basis
- Experience within a secondary setting (all subject specialisms are a bonus)
- Experience managing challenging behaviour in either an SEN school or a mainstream secondary school
- Excellent track record in behaviour management and ability to engage pupils displaying challenging behaviour
- High expectations for teaching and learning
- Extensive experience leading classes
