SEND Support Assistant – Complex Needs & PMLD

PK Education are currently recruiting for dedicated SEND Support Assistants to work within specialist schools across the Doncaster area. This role involves supporting pupils with severe and complex learning needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and are confident working in high-support, specialist environments.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with PMLD and complex needs
• Assisting with personal care and mobility
• Working closely with teaching staff to support learning and development
• Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
• Supporting communication needs, including non-verbal and sensory-based learning

We’re looking for candidates who:

• Have experience in SEND, care, support work, or similar roles
• Are comfortable supporting complex needs and personal care
• Are patient, resilient, and adaptable
• Can commit to Monday–Friday (minimum 4 days per week)
• Are available 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing, potentially until the end of the academic year
