SEND Support Assistant – Bradford Special Schools
Location: Bradford
Hours: Monday–Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Term Time Only
Pay: £12.07 – £14.43 per hour (dependent on experience)

PK Education are currently working in partnership with a number of specialist SEND schools across Bradford, supporting an increase in demand for high-quality support staff. We are seeking committed and resilient SEND Support Assistants to work with students who have severe and complex needs.

This is a highly rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in education and supporting young people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students with complex SEND needs including ASD, PMLD, and physical disabilities
• Providing personal care where required
• Assisting with communication strategies, including non-verbal cues
• Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to deliver tailored support

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 24 months’ referenceable experience working with children or young people
• Experience supporting individuals with complex SEND needs
• Must be comfortable with personal care
• Able to commit to at least 4 days per week (Mon–Fri)
• Available during school hours (8:30am – 3:30pm)
• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
