SEND Teaching Assistant / Support Worker – SEMH & Alternative Provision

Bradford, West Yorkshire
Full-time, long-term & consistent work available
SEMH & Alternative Provision settings

PK Education are recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants and resilient Support Workers to work across established SEMH and Alternative Provision schools in Bradford.

Due to high demand from our partner schools, we can offer regular weekly work, with many opportunities leading to long-term placements.

Tier 1 Experienced Education Professionals (Priority)

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in:

  • SEND schools
  • SEMH or Alternative Provision settings
  • Behaviour support / inclusion roles
  • 1:1 or small group support

These roles suit confident professionals who can build strong relationships, manage behaviour calmly and provide consistent support.

Tier 2 Career Changers from Similar Sectors (Highly Welcome)

We also welcome applicants with backgrounds in:

• Youth work
• Residential care or support work
• Mental health support
• Coaching or mentoring
• Social care

If you’re looking to move into education and work in structured SEND environments, we provide guidance and long-term opportunities.

The Role Involves:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs
  • Managing behaviour positively and professionally
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Building consistency and routine for learners
  • Experience working with young people (education or similar sector)
  • Confidence in behaviour support
  • Commitment to working consistently in Bradford
  • Availability for 3–5 days per week
  • Consistent weekly work
