PK Education are currently recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support within a specialist provision in the Doncaster area.

This setting supports children and young people with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Autism (ASD), and complex physical and communication needs.

This is a highly structured environment requiring consistency, patience and confidence supporting pupils with significant additional needs.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with severe ASD, SLD and complex needs
• Assisting with personal care (toileting, feeding, mobility support where required)
• Implementing individual communication systems (PECS, Makaton, visual timetables)
• Supporting sensory regulation strategies
• Working alongside therapists and specialist teaching staff
• Promoting independence and dignity at all times.

Essential Experience:

• Previous experience within a specialist SEND school or high-needs provision
• Confidence supporting severe ASD and complex learning needs
• Comfortable providing personal care
• Understanding of sensory processing and behaviour regulation
• Calm, resilient and emotionally regulated approach

This is not a mainstream classroom role — applicants must have direct experience within specialist or complex needs settings.
