Teacher of Science
PK Education are working in partnership with a Barnsley Secondary School to appoint a Teacher of Science for a long-term supply post. This Teacher of Science position is scheduled to start in September 2019 and will continue until December 2019, with the strong likelihood of being extended for the full academic year. It is a full-time position working five days a week.
As a Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, inspiring and well-differentiated lessons to pupils of all abilities. You will be teaching All Sciences across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. A Chemistry Specialism would be desirable, however not essential as the school will accept any Science specialism. As this is a long-term post, you will be required to plan lessons in with the schemes of work, mark work, assess pupil progress and report on the progress made by pupils. Where required, you may be required to cover other lessons across the school.
The school itself is a large academy to the South of Barnsley not far from Junction 36 of the M1, making it easily commutable from Barnsley, Sheffield and Rotherham. The school is part of a National Multi-Academy Trust that puts students at the heart of everything they do. The academy boasts excellent facilities with a ‘state of the art’ building, giving students the best learning opportunities possible. The Science Department in particular are a forward-thinking and dynamic team.
In return for your hard work in this post, PK Education will ensure you are paid to scale and rewarded for your efforts. You will also have access to our generous refer a friend scheme where you can receive £150 in vouchers for each teacher you successfully refer to PK Education.
