We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our forward-thinking secondary school on a temporary, ongoing basis starting in September.

 About the Role:

Start Date: September

Contract Type: Temporary (ongoing)

Subject Specialism: General Science (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics at KS3 and KS4)

Location: Doncaster

Working Hours: Full-time

You will be delivering high-quality, engaging Science lessons that foster a love of learning.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative department with excellent resources and facilities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Assess, record and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and scientific curiosity.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development, and wider school activities.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining high standards of discipline and respect.
  • Support the pastoral care of students, acting as a form tutor if required. 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in a Science-related subject.
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (including during placements, if an ECT).
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for science education. E
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
