Job Advert: Teacher of Social Sciences (KS3–KS5)

Location: Secondary School, Rotherham

Contract: Temporary Long-Term (AASAP Start)

Starting ASAP, this long-term temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a school that values high-quality teaching and student development.

You will deliver inspiring lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5, helping students achieve their full potential in subjects such as Psychology, Sociology, and Health & Social Care (curriculum dependent).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Social Sciences lessons across KS3–KS5
• Teach a range of pathways including Sociology, Psychology and/or Health & Social Care
• Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with school and PK Education standards
• Support students through GCSE and A-Level coursework and assessments
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with the school and PK Education to ensure consistency and high standards
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge within Social Sciences
• Experience teaching KS4 and KS5 (KS3 experience desirable)
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A current, enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply through PK Education)
• Commitment to safeguarding, supported by PK Education’s rigorous compliance process
